Ralston Public Schools

About Us

Located on the southern edge of the Omaha area, the Ralston Public School District includes the city of Ralston and parts of southwest suburban Omaha. Our district annually serves 3,400 PK-12th grade students in six elementary buildings, one middle school, and one high school. Approximately 30% of our students option in from other metro areas schools due to our small class sizes, community emphasis, and a relentless desire to provide our students with the best possible learning environment.

Our district employs more than 550 certified and classified staff members and maintains a student-to-teacher ratio of 22 to 1. Our teaching staff consists of a combination of new and veteran educators who have an average of 10 year of experience in our district. Our buildings are 50% smaller than most metro schools to help our staff members build strong, collaborative relationships with our students and co-workers.

All schools within our district are accredited by the Nebraska Department of Education and Cognia. We have clearly defined outcomes for student achievement, a comprehensive plan for training our staff in new instructional approaches, and a rigorous assessment system that is easy for parents to understand. Our district is committed to meeting the personal, social, and academic needs of each student so they may become contributing members of a global society.
